2015 SCTC Western Region Meeting

Registration for the 2015 SCTC Western Region meeting has been extended to Thursday January 22nd!   We are meeting in San Jose, CA on January 28th  at the Holiday Inn Express - 1350 N. Fourth Street.  The hotel is just 6 minutes from the San Jose Airport so it is convenient for those flying in. 


Our one day educational event is filled with hot topics from the communications technology field.  Sessions will include presentations and discussions by consultants and VAC members such as:

  • Intelligent Lighting – hear how intelligent lighting is being used to deliver low-cost, high efficient LED lighting combined with a sensor network to report motion, temperature, and illumination to improve facility policies and create greener buildings. 

  • New User Experiences (UEs) – this interactive discussion will focus on the ”new end user experience” that doesn’t always include a phone.  This is the wild west of UE’s; if we understand the options, we can help our clients navigate their way through the decision making process.  

  • Contract Management – we deal with contracts daily, but beware – there are things that shouldn’t be overlooked.  This lively, interaction session will be relevant to all attendees. Questions will be presented to address a variety of current contract issues.

  • Practice Management –  this interactive session will pose a variety of topics and ensure all consultants the opportunity to participate in practice related discussions such as:  teaming, sales, time tracking, and insurance.

The schedule for the day is as follows:

10:00 - 10:45   Arrival / Networking

10:45 - 11:45   Session

11:45 - 12:45   Lunch / Networking

12:45 - 5:00     Sessions

5:00                 Dinner / Networking


The Registration Fee is $40 per person, which covers the cost of the meeting room and lunch.   Are you interested in even more networking? Stick around after the sessions and join us for dinner if your schedule permits however, note that dinner is not included in the registration fee.
